About the Program
The accelerated 2-year (6 terms) 2nd Entry Nursing program is designed for university applicants with at least 60 credits from an accredited university.
Study topics such as health assessment, pathophysiology, pharmacology, the Canadian healthcare system, episodic and common health challenges, trends in healthcare and more. Explore specialized nursing practice with optional streams in High Acuity and Critical Care, Mental Health, Illness, and Addiction, and Nursing Leadership and Care of the Older Adult. The program is approved by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) to lead to the designation of Registered Nurse.

Applied Learning Opportunities
Develop your foundational skills in a 5,000 sq. ft. Nursing Simulation Centre, equipped with high-fidelity mannequins and a 2,000 sq. ft. Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality lab for immersive, self-paced learning.
Starting in the second semester, you will develop practical patient care skills through clinical placements in hospitals, community health centres and other health-care settings with partners in Brampton, Toronto, Mississauga, Newmarket, Vaughan, Durham, Barrie and Oakville.
You will rotate through specialties to gain broad experience, including medical-surgical nursing, paediatrics, maternity and obstetrics, mental health, community health, critical care, emergency nursing and long-term care.
