About the Program
Dive into the fascinating world of art and culture!
You’ll explore art and visual culture from around the globe, gaining insight into how art shapes, and is shaped by, society. Study modern and contemporary art, Canadian art, Indigenous and settler art of the Americas, Asian art, Western art and architecture, art criticism and curatorial studies.
Through gallery visits and curatorial projects, you’ll connect theory with practice while working with original artworks and exploring museum and gallery studies.

Applied Learning Opportunities
51ÁÔĆć art history to professional practice through gallery visits, curatorial projects and hands-on work with original works of art. You’ll gain experience researching, interpreting and presenting art while learning how exhibitions are developed for museums, galleries and public audiences. Courses in curatorial and museum studies, along with the option to complete a Certificate in Public History, help prepare you for careers in galleries, museums, education and the wider arts sector. By graduation, you’ll have practical experience applying your research and critical skills in professional arts and cultural settings.
