About the Program
Information Technology combines technical expertise with an understanding of how technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), is used and managed in organizations, preparing students to navigate an industry being transformed by AI, automation and data. You’ll learn how to analyze, design, develop and manage complex information systems, while gaining insight into business processes and organizational needs. Through courses in programming, database systems, systems analysis, data analytics, cybersecurity and AI, the program equips you with versatile skills that apply across industries. Depending on your interests, you can choose either a more technical Bachelor of Arts or a business-focused Bachelor of Commerce in Information Technology. Our graduates work as business analysts, IT consultants and project managers in technical careers, including software and web development, systems design, AI-enabled technologies and cybersecurity. If you enjoy problem-solving and working with technology, this program prepares you for careers in the fast-changing, AI-driven IT sector.

Applied Learning Opportunities
Information Technology offers hands-on learning through applied projects, collaborative labs and real-world simulations built on current industry tools, including AI. You can gain professional experience through a 3- to 12‑month internship, where you’ll apply technical knowledge, build industry connections and develop career-ready skills. In your courses, you’ll work in small teams on research and long-term projects, while participating in activities such as client interviews, presentations, user testing and system evaluations. Through optional paid co-op opportunities and experiential learning across your degree, you’ll apply classroom knowledge in practical settings and graduate prepared for careers in the fast-evolving IT sector.
