Applied Learning Opportunities
Communication & Media Studies offers a range of hands-on learning opportunities. Our fourth-year field experience course enables you to earn credit while working with a local employer or community organization. Across our courses you’ll engage in creative, critical and applied projects that use real-world media examples, helping you build practical production and analytical skills. Study abroad opportunities, including international exchanges, global internships and summer programs, allow you to gain global experience. Through experiential learning in optional paid co-op and across your degree, you’ll apply classroom knowledge, develop professional skills and graduate prepared for careers in media, communication and related fields.
